Well this help me to understand where the CYLONS came from!
It was really good and the series starts this month on tv so it's important to watch this to understand the series. Set half a century before the "Battlestar Galactica" series, this feature film follows industrialist Daniel Graystone as he harnesses powerful technology to create the first-ever Cylon in the wake of a personal tragedy. Gravely concerned about Graystone's ethics, attorney Joseph Adama father of future admiral William Adama, becomes a fervent opponent of the powerful scientist and businessman.

Also note: Battlestar Gallactica Caprica the TV SERIES airs January 22, and Battlestar Gallactica The Plan airs January 10th both on SYFY! The first season, composed of the two-hour pilot and 19 more one-hour episodes. I'm excited!
